How can I find or track my order status?

After an order is placed with The Sophisticated Cat, you will receive an email confirmation. Additionally, you will receive a second email upon shipment (or partial shipment) of your order. These emails will contain your order number along with any shipping information available.

How much does shipping cost?

We ship most items via UPS Ground, FedEx, DHL & USPS. Shipping & handling charges are based on the total amount of your order.  Larger items may include extra shipping surcharges for dimensions and oversize weights which are added onto the total shipping charges.  If shipping charges will be more than what was calculated during checkout, we will contact you via e-mail. Please check our shipping chart for exact costs.

Will you charge sales tax on my order?

We automatically charge and withhold sales tax of 9% for orders to be delivered to addresses within the State of Illinois.

The Sophisticated Cat accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Paypal.  All credit card transactions through The Sophisticated Car are secure.  We utilize a Secure Socket Layering (SSL), which ensures safe Internet transmission of your personal information.  When the “http” in the address URL changes to “https”, this indicates you are now in the SSL secure area.  If you have difficulty ordering from our web site, please contact us.

How can I place an order online?

We try to provide our customers with an easy and fun shopping experience. Shop and surf our site for products and simply click “Add to Cart” for products you wish to buy. All the items you add to your cart will be available for you to review at any time just by clicking the Shopping Cart link on the top left corner of your screen. Once you are done shopping, just click the Check Out button. Your billing, shipping, and credit card payment information will be entered into our secured website. Your credit card information will be processed automatically by our website and online Merchant in a SSL Secured environment.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to addresses within the United States (including Puerto Rico) and most of Canada. For international shipping, please contact us at help@thesophisticatedcat.com for shipment availability before placing an order.

Do you offer Gift Certificates/Gift Cards?

We do offer virtual Gift Certificates at no additional charge and they never expire. Simply click on the Gift Card link on the left hand tool bar for additional information.

How do I use my Gift Certificate/Gift Cards?

Virtual Gift Cards are used same as credit cards during check out. Use the Gift Certificate/Gift Card as your method of payment. You will need to have your virtual Gift Card PIN number. Please make sure to keep your PIN access number in a safe place as we are not responsible for any loss incurred from someone else using your virtual Gift Card.

Do you accept currencies other than USD?

All of our prices are in USD currency. Regardless of your local currency, your credit card company will be charged for the total purchase in USD. Credit Card companies usually use their exchange rates and may also charge you an exchange fee. We suggest inquiring with your Credit Card Company prior to making your purchase if the USD is not your local currency.

How do I find out about any product recalls?

We try our best to stay current on industry press releases as well as maintaining a great relationship with our suppliers/manufacturers such that if there is a recall on any products we offer to our customers, we will post recall information on our website right away and notify any customers affected of the recall. Please see our Press & Events for recent press releases and product recalls, if any.

What is your product/stock availablity?

For delivery times, please check the availability shown on the product(s) you purchase. Estimated shipping times are listed for each product on the web site. In stock inventory will ship within 7 - 10 business days. These are only estimates!  In order to offer our customers a wider selection of merchandise, many of our items are not in stock and are shipped directly from a number of different suppliers and may arrive in several different packages. Because of this, items ordered together may arrive in many different boxes. As a result, some items may arrive later than the estimated shipping times stated on the web site. We make every effort to ship orders out as soon as possible. Unfortunately these dates do sometimes get moved back because of production, shipping, and other issues, so we cannot guarantee any in-stock dates. Please allow additional delivery time for personalized or custom-made items.
